If you missed our high tide tour, why not join us on our “Mid-Tide Coastal Tour”, a 1.5 hour paddle that provides guests with a unique panoramic view and photo opportunity of the “Flowerpot Rocks” just as the tides are receding and revealing the true identity of the rock formations. Guests also have a special opportunity to navigate through the ‘ledges’ and up the mud lined Demoiselle Creek found at the south end of the Park. When fully exposed, the massive 4 Kilometer wide mud flats at the foot of Shepody Mountain will serve as a stark contrast to a Bay that was totally flooded just hours before.
Tours last 1 ½ hours. Paddling distance is approximately 4 Km.
Selected dates July & August. Group tours are available (Group tour discounts are available between our start up and July 15th). Please inquire about group deposit and cancellation policies.
Selected dates July & August. Tours begin before or after our "Kayak the Rocks tour". Guests experience a panoramic view of the rock formations. This tour will not be able to paddle among the rock formations.
No previous paddling experience is required. Basic instruction is provided.
This tour requires a low to moderate level of physical activity. NOTE: We can never predict the weather and wind conditions but guests should make their reservation with the understanding that they will get wet and may be paddling in wavy conditions.
Youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minimum age 12 years of age.
Participants paddle double sea kayaks, which are stable and well-suited to inexperienced paddlers. Paddles and P.F.D.'s (life vests) are supplied. Dry bags are available for cameras.
What to Bring:
It is recommended that participants bring a change of clothes (as there is the possibility of getting wet), jacket, hat, sunscreen and sunglasses as well as beach footwear (or your choice of appropriate foot ware, knowing it may get wet and/or muddy). Visitors deciding to use their cameras are rewarded with unforgettable pictures! (Some prefer to use disposable cameras.)
All participants are required to complete a waiver form. Youth (under age 19) must have their waivers signed by a parent or guardian. View Waiver Here
