“WHITE ROCK CLASSIC” INFORMATION SHEET

Description: This day ride is centered in the abandoned gypsum mine area located just west of the Village of Hillsborough. The tour highlights the human and natural history of the area and includes a snack and visit inside “The North White Cave”. The vast network of both single and double track trails, combined with the unique karst topography and 150 years of gypsum mining,, has resulted in a mountain biking paradise, one considered by many as the best in all of Atlantic Canada.
Tour Length: The tour lasts approximately 3-4 hours.
Experience: No previous experience is required.
Difficulty: Easy / Moderate Tour guides will match the riding distance and difficulty with rider ability and fitness. The easier main trail network is laced with lots of short technical loops, making it possible for beginner and more advanced riders to participate in the same tour.
Restrictions: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Equipment: Baymount provides high quality front suspension - 24 speed mountain bikes, helmet, water bottles, waist packs and snack
What to Bring: Participants must provide their own biking clothing and footwear. Dress for the weather – if it is warm wear shorts and T shirt as the heat effect in the open quarry sections is magnified; if it is cooler then wear a long sleeved sport top. Personal items such as sunglasses, sunscreen, shell jacket etc can be carried in the waist pack provided.
Waiver: All participants are required to complete a waiver form. (Youth participants' (under age 16) waivers must also be signed by a parent or guardian.)
Language: English (French may be available if pre-arranged.)
Location: The tour registration and start point is Hillsborough Wetland Park, 2861 Main Street, Hillsborough, on Route 114 next to the Canada Post Building. From Moncton / Riverview, follow Rte. 114 south approximately 30 minutes to Hillsborough. From Alma / Fundy National Park, follow Rte.114 north towards Moncton for approximately 50 minutes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour time.

Payment: $55 per adult, $45 per youth (16 or<), $180 per family (parents and their 2 children) plus tax. A credit card is required to hold a reservation A 50% deposit is charged if 24 hrs. notice of cancellation of reservation is not received or if guests with reservations do not arrive for their tour. MasterCard, Visa, Debit or Cash are accepted for payment
Please note: Groups have specific reservation/cancellation requirements. Please inquire for details.
Cancellation: Baymount reserves the right to shorten the tour for reasons of participant safety or inappropriate behaviour that poses a safety hazard or threatens the delicate ecosystem. Cancellations (non- group) are accepted without penalty with 24 hrs. notice (50% of tour cost is charged with less than 24 hrs. notice of cancellation). Visitors are encouraged to provide more advanced notice of a change of plans to allow others the opportunity to participate.
Season: 3 days per week, July & August. Start time vary
