The Bay of Fundy Peddle & Paddle package is a combo adventure that features two of Baymount Outdoor Adventures signature tours - “Kayak The Rocks” sea kayaking tour at Hopewell Rocks and  our “Bike the Dyke” tour in the Shepody National Wildlife Area.  Depending on the tides it may be done in a single day or in two days. 

 

“Kayak The Rocks” is recognized as the world’s highest tidal Bay of Fundy paddling experience where participants paddle among the giant rock formations, known as the ‘Flowerpot Rocks’ on tides sometimes exceeding 46 feet.

 

“Bike the Dyke” Experience Fundy’s giant tides while biking dyke networks first developed by 17th century Acadian settlers.  Join our guides on this unique tour – a blend of outdoor adventure and history, as they recount the early Acadian story and reveal the secrets of the Fundy coastline.

This scenic and relaxing hike and mountain bike ride in the Shepody National Wildlife Area is one of the most spectacular and scenic landscapes in the upper Bay of Fundy.

 

Our tour begins with a relaxing bike ride along a network of dykes and roads that were originally constructed by the early Acadian settlers to turn the immense salt marshes into some of the most productive farm fields in the world. On the second part of our adventure we hike along a beautiful and undeveloped stretch of the Bay of Fundy coastline where we witness the ebb and flow of the world’s highest tides and experience the raw power of Fundy’s giant tides. Tour sequence may be reversed depending on the tides.
